Hello there, Mr. Polk. What are your feelings on current American politics?
Good day to you! *bows head politely*
Where do I even begin? Merely thinking about it gives me one of the biggest headaches. Especially that Tea Party. I was born after the American Revolution, but I still had the pleasures of meeting important people, hearing stories, and whatnot, and I can tell you that the American Revolutionaries would NOT like their image being used in this backward “revolution”.
In all honesty, I think this country would be much better if we brought back Jacksonian Democracy! I was the last strong Jacksonian Democrat, and that is just a tragedy. If Mr. Jackson, or even myself, were in office today, I assure you we’d run things much differently!
Over all, the current state of American politics is just a mess! But, throughout the history of this country, there have always been many ups and downs. Unless, at the off chance, we are actually headed for the end of times, this all get better eventually. Different ideas will take root and we will see a new generation of politicians.
At least I hope. If I was offered to be Speaker of the House today, I would NOT take it! Things were much different when Mr. Jackson was president.
But I’m getting into a rant. I think you get the idea.
Also, everyone would get a LOT more done if they would all just do their work! People are so lazy today! WORK YOU FOOLS! WORK!
